I cant believe 2022 is a wrap! When I was a kid my mom told me the older I got, the faster the years went and she was not kidding. This year flew by.
It's been a challenging one for me in a lot of ways. Probably for a lot of people, but I can only speak for myself. The overwhelming struggle for me was just dealing with loneliness and dealing with the loss of Susan. I have never had a problem spending time alone, but I never knew what being lonely felt like until I lost my sister.
I am thankful to have a few great friends to laugh with, an incredible family unit to lean on and a strong faith to carry me through the hard times.
I decided I wanted to make a photo video of my 2022. I didn't realize how full my year was until I started writing the video and I went back through my journal and my photos to jog my memory.
I did a lot. I went to NC three times once to visit my favorite young people, once for Amber & Griffin's wedding and the third time to hike my hiney off in the mountains with Adam. I spent a few weeks in the truck, went to the beach for two weeks on vacation with Mark, went to Cedar Point with Andrew as well as the Canfield Fair. In October I went to Savannah with two of my very best friends Paula and Shelly, and went to Dayton to visit the trolls with another wonderful friend Jen. I worked the polls on three elections, had a gazillion migraines, cried a ton of tears missing my sister, read 52 books, sent 350 greeting cards and took too many hikes to count. Like I said, I've done a lot.
I'm looking forward to 2023 to see what adventures I get into. Already planning a backpacking weekend or two with Adam, a couple visits to Cedar Point with Andrew, and an amazing Southwest vacation with Mark with TONS of hiking planned.
I spent a ton of time on this video, hopefully you will check it out. But warning...its lengthy!
What great memories to cherish!!
